Group Settings
Everything about the group itself is under Manage → Settings.
The pages
- About — the group's name, short description, location, time zone, and the description members read on the About tab, plus the DAW, genre and experience tags that say what kind of group this is. The short name is part of your address and can't be changed after the group is created.
- About Organizers — who is listed as an organizer on the About page and in what order, each with their own display name, bio and photo, and who is allowed to see the list.
- Group Images — your logo, the smaller logo for the navbar, and the cover photo.
- Links — where else your group lives: your site, your Discord, your socials.
- Advanced — the rest of this page.
Display settings
Switches for your home pages: the group name and the logo banner above the tabs, your links as icons in the navbar, and a welcome screen for visitors who aren't signed in.
Beside them, the date and time format the group shows — day or month first, and a 12 or 24 hour clock.
Message targets
Which ways the site may reach your members on your behalf: an on-site message, an email, a Discord post, or any combination. With none of them on, nothing is sent at all — not the session announcements, not the reminders. The email option isn't switchable from this page.
This is the setting behind everything in Message Templates, and the one that decides whether the message you're offered after changing a session has anywhere to go.
Join group mode
Automatic lets anybody join. Moderated puts them in a queue for an organizer to approve — see Managing Members.
Require a confirmed email
Members who haven't confirmed their address can be kept from particular things: getting into the group at all, seeing the session list, opening a session, seeing where it is, taking part, or watching a recap. Pick as many as you want. Sessions have their own version of this on Advanced Options, for that session alone.
